{"id":107,"date":"2010-12-01T01:20:00","date_gmt":"2010-12-01T05:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/?p=107"},"modified":"2011-03-26T00:02:34","modified_gmt":"2011-03-26T04:02:34","slug":"tam-takes-a-trip-to-the-doctor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/tam-takes-a-trip-to-the-doctor\/","title":{"rendered":"Tam takes a trip to the doctor&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, I&#8217;m packing for a trip to my neurologist tomorrow to have a couple of tests (read: a torture session followed by an MRI) to see if the neurologist can find the entrapment in my arm so we can hopefully do the surgery and I can stop taking these massive doses of NSAIDs (and hopefully I can regain more regular use of my arm, and lose a <strong>lot <\/strong>of&nbsp;pain in the process).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also going to visit a new friend while I&#8217;m down there.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;m packing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>My mp3 player<\/strong> filled with my accompaniment tracks and some other music &#8211; because singing to myself at full volume while on the road is always entertaining to those around me<\/li>\n<li><strong>My laptop<\/strong> &#8211; because I&#8217;ll have at least a couple of hours to kill between appointments, and Cincy has free wifi<\/li>\n<li><strong>A myriad of pills<\/strong> &#8211; because I cut back my meds in hopes of exacerbating my arm so the entrapment will be easier to find tomorrow &#8211; I&#8217;m gonna need drugs badly the time the appointments are over.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A wheelchair, crutches, and two separate canes<\/strong> &#8211; okay I&#8217;m not really packing these, they&#8217;re are always in my car anyway<\/li>\n<li><strong>A wrist brace, a wrist cuff, a removable full-arm cast, a sling and a pain patch<\/strong> &#8211; because who knows to what degree I&#8217;ll be able to move my arm after the appointments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1.5 Gallons of water<\/strong> &#8211; because when you&#8217;re likely to need that much water in one outing, you want it to be filtered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Several spin toys, a dreidel, a couple of Christmas ornaments, and some PromoBlox<\/strong> &#8211; gifts for the friend and bribes for the doctors\/nurses (keep them happy when you&#8217;re livelihood depends on their decisions, also they may keep the torture to a minimum)<\/li>\n<li><strong>My camera &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>because uhm, I have no idea, I guess I just feel like I&#8217;m packing for a journey, and who doesn&#8217;t take their camera on a journey?<\/li>\n<li><strong>My Bible<\/strong> &#8211; because it goes with me everywhere, and if I&#8217;m not feeling horrible I may try to go to Bible study on the way home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, I&#8217;m packing for a trip to my neurologist tomorrow to have a couple of tests (read: a torture session followed by an MRI) to see if the neurologist can find the entrapment in my arm so we can hopefully &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/tam-takes-a-trip-to-the-doctor\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[246],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-107","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-disability-2"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/107","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=107"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/107\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":467,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/107\/revisions\/467"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=107"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=107"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tmbmt.MyCustomData.com\/blog\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=107"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
